Hexagon Business Centres celebrates 10 years
We are celebrating 10 years of being a home to local businesses. Started in 2011, Hexagon was founded by entrepreneurs Brendon Cross and Michele Lodge when they took over the former TBAC building on Station Lane with 20 offices. We now have 3 centres in central Witney providing serviced offices for over 50 organisations and virtual office services to almost 100.
The changing size of office space during COVID
One thing that has become clear since COVID struck is that people can actually work from home. Businesses had to manage without their offices during the national lockdown and with the regional lockdowns continuing, many will have to do so for the foreseeable future.
How Hexagon’s telephone answering helps tradesmen
For plumbers, electricians or any tradesmen, keeping on top of telephone calls from new customers and suppliers whilst you are on site working is often a real challenge. Answering your mobile when under a sink or connecting wires is not easy, yet alone the impression it gives the customer whose house you’re in, if you’re constantly being distracted when on their job.
Why would anyone take an office on a 5 year fixed term lease?
The answer is, we really don’t know! With a standard commercial property lease, most businesses have no option but to sign up for 5 years. Yet a business centre like Hexagon offers its larger offices on as low as one month rolling contracts, which gives infinitely more flexibility.
Using a meeting room during COVID
For most businesses, organising a meeting pre-COVID simply involved using the meeting room in the office. Then COVID came and we all got used to virtual meetings on Zoom or Teams. But however productive virtual meetings are, it’s not the same as meeting face to face, which is why we are seeing an increase in bookings for our meeting room.
Leaflet delivery service sign up as virtual tenant
One of our virtual tenants is Witta’s Island Media, a door-to-door leaflet distribution company, who use Hexagon Business Centres as their registered address for mailing. A start up business, they are working from home but wanted a stand-alone business address.
