The 2017 West Oxfordshire Business Awards are now open for entries following the launch on Friday 16th September. As part of the team that organises the West Oxfordshire Business Awards, Hexagon Business Centres was there to see former MP and Prime Minister David Cameron announce the WOBA categories for 2017.
The room was packed with West Oxfordshire businesses including many of our tenants and virtual tenants. The WOBA 2017 launch event was attended by over 100 business people from West Oxfordshire as Mr Cameron revealed the 2017 categories.
I have supported the West Oxfordshire Business Awards since their conception seven years ago and I am delighted to do so again today. I am aware of how becoming an award finalist or winner has helped businesses across the district to raise their profile with customers, in addition to boosting staff morale and providing an opportunity to connect and collaborate with other businesses.
There really is a WOBA category for every business here today, irrespective of size or sector. I’d like to encourage all local businesses to enter and look forward to learning who the deserved finalists and winners are next year.
David Cameron, commenting on the awards.
Our Centre Manager Michele Lodge plays an active role in the WOBA Team and we produced the name badges for the event. Says Michele,
As a hub for small and growing businesses, it is important for Hexagon Business Centres to be active in the Witney and West Oxfordshire business community and we enjoy being part of the WOBA Team, which is made up of great business people from across the district.
There are 11 WOBA categories to suit most business from new, micro, small and large to employer, innovation, retail, marketing excellence as well as business person and hospitality, tourism & leisure. There is also a charity award. The deadline for entries is 5th December 2016 with the winners being announced on 7th April 2017. To download an entry form visit www.woba.org.uk
